What is a Teen Advisory Board?

A Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a group of teen volunteers who are passionate about getting involved in library programming and services. TAB members meet on a regular basis at the library to discuss ideas centered around making the library a more teen-friendly space. Members are also involved in brainstorming and planning library events and programs geared towards teens. TAB members attend and sometimes lead teen events and programs and act as library ambassadors in their community.

What are the requirements?

TAB applicants must be between 6th and 12th grade, be passionate about and interested in library services, and be available to meet one evening per month in additional to occasionally volunteering for library programs and events.

How do I get involved?

Fill out the application linked below and return it to our Young Adult Associate, Tiffany Skelnik either in-person at the library or via email at tskelnik@rivergrovelibrary.org. A paper application can also be picked up at the library's Circulation Desk. You can also contact Tiffany with any questions.

We can't wait to hear from you!
