Join the Summer Reading 2008 team at the River Grove Public Library and win prizes for reading and completing fun activities!


Why should our family participate in the summer reading program?
The program promotes reading for fun and encourages kids to keep learning over the summer.

Who can participate?
There are reading clubs and activities for children from the infant stage through age 12. Young adults ages 13-18 can participate in the teen reading club.

Is there a cost?
Summer reading at the River Grove Public Library is completely free!

What are the dates of the program?
The summer reading program will run from June 17th through August 8th, 2008.

When and where can I register my child for summer reading?
Register for the summer reading program at the River Grove Public Library between June 2nd and June 17th. Come to the kick-off party on June 17th to receive your summer reading packet including book log. Packets will be available at the library after June 17th for those who are unable to attend the party.

What types of activities are offered through the summer reading program?
Children and young adults win prizes by completing reading logs and library activity sheets. See the summer calendar for the many activities scheduled at the library including reading clubs, game nights, tournaments, parties, craft days, and story times. There is something happening at the library almost every day!
